Terms of use
Last updated: September 23, 2026
In short: you pay €9.99 once, you use Rembobino on your Macs to restore as many archives as you like, everything happens on your computer, and if the software doesn't work with your archive, you get a refund within 14 days.
This English translation is provided for convenience. The French version is the legally binding text.
1. Purpose
These terms govern the purchase and use of the Rembobino software (the “Software”), published by Lucas Valanchauskas EI (the “Publisher”, see the legal notice). Buying or using the Software means you accept them.
2. What the Software does
Rembobino reads the memories archive that users have downloaded themselves from their Snapchat account, then creates a copy of each photo and video with its date, local time and location, to make importing them into the Photos app easier. The original files are never modified. The Software does not connect to the user's Snapchat account or to any server.
The quality of the result depends on the information contained in the archive provided by Snapchat: a memory missing from the archive, or with no date or location in it, cannot be reconstructed.
3. System requirements
- a Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later);
- macOS 11 Big Sur or later;
- free disk space at least equal to the size of the archive.
The Software does not run on Intel Macs, or on Windows, Android or Linux. Please check compatibility before buying.
4. Price, order and payment
The Software is sold for €9.99, VAT included, as a one-time payment with no subscription.
Orders and payments are handled by our authorised reseller Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”, London, United Kingdom), which acts as the seller of the transaction (Merchant of Record). The purchase contract is therefore made with Paddle, whose buyer terms apply to payment, invoicing and VAT. Paddle collects the payment, issues the invoice and remits VAT; the purchase appears under its name on your bank statement. For any question about a payment or an invoice, you can also contact Paddle at paddle.net. The Publisher remains solely responsible for the Software, the licence and support.
5. Delivery
The Software can be downloaded for free from the website as a trial, which restores up to 100 memories. Purchasing gives a licence key, shown on screen right after payment, which unlocks restoring all memories. The payment platform emails the receipt. Updates to the purchased version are free.
6. Right of withdrawal and money-back guarantee
Under article L221-28, 13° of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content supplied immediately, when the buyer has expressly requested this supply and waived their right of withdrawal when ordering.
In addition, the Publisher offers a 14-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase: just ask through the Contact page, giving the email address used for the purchase. The refund is issued by Paddle, to the original payment method. After a refund, the corresponding licence may no longer be used.
7. License
The purchase grants the buyer a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Software, for an unlimited period, on Macs owned by the buyer or their household. The following are prohibited, except within the limits allowed by law (article L122-6-1 of the French Intellectual Property Code):
- reselling, renting or sharing the licence key, or redistributing the Software;
- modifying, decompiling or disassembling the Software;
- removing ownership and license notices.
The Software includes open-source components (including FFmpeg, under the LGPL) that remain subject to their own licenses, listed on the Licenses page. Nothing in these terms restricts the rights granted by those licenses.
8. Legal guarantees
Consumers benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content provided by articles L224-25-12 et seq. of the French Consumer Code. If the Software does not conform, they can have it brought into conformity or, failing that, obtain a price reduction or cancel the contract.
9. Liability
Rembobino works on a copy of the files and never modifies the original archive. We still recommend keeping the downloaded Snapchat archive until the import into Photos is finished. To the extent permitted by law, the Publisher cannot be held liable for indirect damage arising from use of the Software, or for defects coming from the archive provided by Snapchat or from third-party apps (Photos, iCloud).
10. Personal data
The Software neither collects nor transmits any data: all processing happens on the user's computer. The handling of data related to the website, payment and contact is described in the privacy policy.
11. Trademarks
Rembobino is an independent product, not affiliated with or endorsed by Snap Inc. Snapchat is a registered trademark of Snap Inc. Apple, Mac, macOS, iPhone, Photos and iCloud are trademarks of Apple Inc.
12. Changes to these terms
The Publisher may update these terms. The terms that apply are those in force on the date of purchase.
13. Complaints and mediation
If you run into a problem, first contact the Publisher through the Contact page: most issues are solved in a few messages.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the competent courts are those designated by law; consumers may bring a case before the courts of their place of residence.
